SURGE is KawanaLife Baptist’s Youth Group. All high schoolers (years 7-12) are welcome.
Surge intends to be a family of like-minded young people who enjoy spending time together learning more about what it means to be a follower of Christ. We enjoy some good times, using interactive and fun ways to get to know each other, but most importantly our saviour Jesus Christ!
We now have a covid-safe plan in place, and you’ll notice the following changes:
- Youth will be welcomed in and “signed in” outside the front door; non-participants should not enter the Greenhouse
- Everyone will be asked if they have any symptoms of Covid-19, and if they do, they will need to return home
- If you want to play Table Tennis, you will be assigned your own bat for the evening.
- There will be no food or drinks provided, please bring a bottle of water
- The games we play will be fewer than before, and they will be non-contact
- We will spend more time talking about a life of faith, and include more bible reading and prayer, so bring a bible if you have one
- When picking up your young person, you will be greeted outside the door by one of the leaders, and your young person will come out.
Please contact us if you would like more information.
Join us in the Greenhouse this Sunday for worship, followed by morning tea and fellowship together.
Got kids? Our 11 am service (school terms only), may be of interest to you.
If you can’t be with us in person, this service is also live-streamed in the KawanaLife Facebook group. If you’re interested in joining in online and are not part of our Facebook group, contact Dony.
A Sunday Celebration with a twist! This has a different format to our traditional Sunday Celebration, and will include involvement in an interactive format for all ages, especially families with kids. This service won’t be streamed online.
There are still restrictions we have to follow, including staying in family groups and signing in on arrival.
Tuesday 15 December is our final Coffee and a Chat for the year. Join us again after the Christmas break, on 5 January 2021.
Love coffee and enjoy a chat too? Then Coffee and a Chat and you are a match made in heaven! Each Tuesday from 10am, get together with other coffee lovers and catch up over a cup of your favourite. Everyone is welcome. Meet new people or catch up with old friends, at Coffee and a Chat. Meeting at Urban Espresso & Wine in the Lake Kawana Private Hospital complex, Innovation Way, Birtinya.

This will be a short meeting between the two Sunday services. All KawanaLifers are welcome to attend, but only partners can vote.

Come and join us today even if you haven’t been to Coffee and a Chat before; there’s no better introduction. Coffee and a Chat is for anyone who loves coffee and loves to meet new people or catch up with old friends.
We’re at our usual haunt, Urban Espresso Cafe, and it’s a special morning tea today; there will be a selection of sweet and savoury treats available, including gluten free. The cost is for the morning tea only, buy your own coffee or other beverage.
RSVP to Keith or Helen O. by Tuesday 24 November so we can let them know the numbers.
Our end of year break-up. Come dressed in your Sunny Coast-approved formal attire (board shorts acceptable as formal attire!) and join our celebrations. Share a pizza meal, have a little fun, and farewell the Year 12s.
Note that we will be adhering to our COVID-Safe plan with regards to the serving of food.
