KawanaLife Generations
If you’re a family with primary-aged children, we extend a special invitation for you to join us at the Greenhouse each week for our 11am Sunday Celebration.
We don’t currently have a separate Sunday morning programme for children. Our regular children’s programme, which we call KL Kids, has been put on hold for the time being.
What is KawanaLife Generations?
This is a different style of church service; it’s not a ‘kids’ service’, but it is shorter than our traditional Sunday Celebration. It involves participation from everyone, from children to older adults, and the Bible message is simpler and more easily understood by children. Families with children would particularly enjoy this service, but we encourage and invite anyone, at any age or stage of life, to come along to bless and be blessed.
Why are we holding this different Sunday service?
One reason, of course, is that our children need Bible teaching they can understand and engage with, and sometimes teaching and fellowship which is appreciated by adults is not as accessible to them. This is one way we can provide this while KL Kids is not operating.
We also strongly believe that there’s enormous value in believers of all ages worshipping, learning, interacting and fellowshipping together, sharing wisdom and encouragement, and praying for one another. As a more casual, interactive service, KawanaLife Generations provides a special opportunity for us to speak into each other’s lives.
Families sit together at at this service as we regularly hold a family trivia challenge and a family (or small group) discussion time. You may even like to bring a picnic rug to sit on together, rather than in traditional church rows, although of course seating is available for those who need it. This service is not live-streamed.
