A prayer we can all use

All good things must come to an end… or do they?

Today is the finale of our series on the Lord’s Prayer; and we’ll be exploring the last part of the prayer:

“Lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.”

This is a prayer that we could all use, every day. Each day we are presented with numerous temptations to do wrong by others and by God. Each day we are enticed to do the wrong thing; each day evil is there, trying to deceive us into taking a wrong step. We need to be praying this prayer every day.

And the good news is, we can … and should! The Lord’s Prayer is not just something we look at every now and then in a worship service, it’s not just something to pray when you gather with other Christians, it’s something you can pray every day because it is applicable for every situation.

May the Lord’s Prayer guide us, comfort us, and protect us as we continue to pray it along our discipleship journey.
