KKs @ Bribie Island Butterfly House
The Butterfly House is 24m x 10m and you will see many hundreds of beautiful live butterflies flying around you. A local volunteer project, the Butterfly House is aimed at bringing the community together, educating their visitors with a great experience, as well as helping needy people locally and overseas with profits from the entrance fees.
We’ll have morning tea near the shelter shed at Quota Park, Welsby Parade, Bongaree, before leaving at 11.15am for our tour, where we will go into the enclosed netted area with the real live butterflies
When: 10am, Thursday 10 September
Where: Quota Park, Welsby Parade, before going on to the Bribie Island Butterfly House, 208 First Avenue, Bongaree
Cost: $10 entry fee
BYO morning tea
You must RSVP to Del so we can confirm numbers with them.
Navigation notes:
1. You will need to allow a good hour for the trip.
2. Although the park is on the waterfront, there is no right turn immediately after the main Bribie Island bridge. You need to keep going straight ahead to the first roundabout and do U-turn to come back to the waterfront.
