Unofficial Chaplains
Warren Crank has written a book called Unofficial Chaplain. I know that many of us have a copy and have been challenged by it. I believe that, wherever we get to ‘do life’, we are called to be ‘Unofficial Chaplains’.
As a part of Sports Chaplaincy Australia, I get to be a Lifesaving Chaplain at Kawana Waters Surf Club. It is an incredible opportunity to ‘do life’ with another ‘congregation’. I love my times at the Club.
We have official Chaplains in most of our emergency service groups. They are extremely important and very much needed. Rev. Matt Govan is the Sunshine Coast and Wide Bay Regional Chaplain for the Queensland Police Force. As Matt shares with us this week, I am sure he’ll have some very interesting stories, and will let us know about some of the incredible people he gets to ‘do life’ with.
Let us continue to take God’s message to our Community.
God bless you on the journey,
Dony
