Belong, Believe, Become

Kawanalife has three words that help make up its logo. They are Belong, Believe, Become.

Belong is very important, and we do a pretty good job, but we can never do enough. So, here is a quick test to see how well you know the people sitting around you. Ready?

• Do you know who just ran a half-marathon, and also was the third highest fundraiser in the event?
• Do you know someone who is great with statistics, and who loves cricket?
• Do you know who helped out the Queensland Government with their FBT?
• Do you know someone who has done overseas mission work?
• Is there someone sitting near you who is an expert in working with Indigenous Children?
• Can you see someone who can play guitar, bass, drums and probably a couple of other instruments by now?
• Do you know someone who was, or is, a teacher?
• Can you spot someone who has toured with bands such as Third Day, Audio Adrenaline, Michael W Smith?
• Could there be someone who has been in charge of bringing to life some great musicals and dramas?
• Can you spot a social worker, an electrician, a plumber, or even a builder?
• If you wanted to learn shorthand, do you know who could help you do that?

We are indeed an incredible group of people, and I have only touched the surface. Today we get to meet a lady who was, for many years, a missionary in Russia. If you know who I am talking about, you know you are about to hear a great story.
