The meaning is clear – or is it?

It is so good to be back after six weeks off, the longest break I have had in over 25 years. Brendan has given me the last few verses in Romans 13:11-14 to share about this Sunday, and after this we will have a break from Romans until the new year.

Catchphrases are great, however, they get used in so many different spheres that they can develop differing meanings.

For example, “time for change”, “wake up”, “stop being sheep”. We could easily get all of these catchphrases from those verses. However, I do not think, in the Romans context, they mean what we would first assume. Or do they?

We’ll dig into this and see what the Holy Spirit may bring to light, as we desire to follow Jesus in a very challenging time, just as the readers of this book were endeavouring to do.

It is so good to be back.

God bless,
Dony
