Happy Mother’s Day. Where would we be without you?

I know my mum has been a huge influence in my life. From those early mornings, making sure I was up to start work at 4 am as a milk boy; at lunch time at school there would always be some lunch in my bag; taking me to church on Sunday morning, even though I must have embarrassed her so much by my behaviour, she never gave up on me being there to learn about God. She taught me to believe in what I could do, encouraged me to do it, then cheered me on as I stepped out and did it.

We have not always been on the same page, but the depth of love and forgiveness continues to this day. Yes, I still embarrass her at church, and yes, she still prays for me every day.
